“What does Pop CoLab do?”

I get asked this all the time.

The simple answer is this:

We design better ways for teams to connect.

By hosting, facilitating and designing team building experiences that are tailored to each team's unique play style.

Play with purpose.

Hands-on team experiences for the people doing good work, whether you're a business, a nonprofit, or anything in between.

That is the elevator pitch.

But for me, Pop CoLab is also personal.

It is the result of more than 20 years of building businesses centred around people. The Good Will Social Club, Vantage Studios, A Little Pizza Heaven, Made Here, and now, Pop CoLab.

I have had a lot of ideas over the years, but ideas do not become real without people. I give a lot of credit, probably most of the credit, to the people who helped build those businesses with me.

Every one of those places taught me something. Some lessons came from success. Some came from things that did not go as planned. But all of them shaped Pop CoLab.

At some point, I realized the thing I loved most was not just what we were building.

It was how people felt when they were part of it.

Watching people light up.

Watching teams loosen up.

Watching someone try something new.

Watching a room shift from awkward to connected.

That is the part I have always loved.

And now, that is what I get to build every day through Pop CoLab.

But the real magic is how people feel while they are doing it.
